Staking on Polkawallet involves a few steps. First, you need to make sure they have tokens on Polkawallet. Next, you need to bond your tokens and select your staking preferences. Finally, you need to select a Validator.

Step 1: Sending Tokens to Polkawallet

1) Send your DOT or KSM to Polkawallet. To learn how, follow our .

Step 2: Staking Your Tokens

1) Open your Polkawallet app and click on the menu icon (three lines) in the right-hand corner.

2) A series of logos showing the networks that you can connect to will appear on the left-hand side. Select Polkadot if you would like to stake DOT. Select Kusama if you would like to stake KSM. Tap on your account again.

3) You are now connected to either Polkadot or Kusama (depending on your selection). Click Staking.

4) Click Adjust Bonded.

5) Click Bond More.

6) Enter the amount you'd like to stake and click Submit.

7) Click Submit.

8) You can see your bonded amount reflected on the staking page.

Step 3: Selecting Your Staking Preferences

1) To select how and where your staking rewards should be distributed, click Reward Type.

2) Select your preferred option and click Submit. You can choose between:

  1. Sending your staking rewards to your stash and bond them, so your stash keeps growing and your rewards compound.

  2. Sending your staking rewards to your stash without bonding them, so they remain transferrable and you can send them out of your account anytime.

  3. Sending them to your controller account.

  4. Sending them to any other account you own and have listed.

3) Click Submit.

4) If you'd like to use a controller account, click Change Controller. If you don't know what a controller account is, you can just use the same account for your stash account and your controller account and skip steps 4-6.

5) Select your controller account and click Submit.

6) Click Submit.

Step 4: Selecting a Validator

1) Select Validators in the upper right corner and click Nominate.

2) Click Set Nominees.

Once you've selected your Validator(s), click Nominate.

4) Click Submit.

5) As you return to Validator page, you can see that your nomination has been made. You are now staking through Polkawallet!🥳🎉🍾

Step 5: Tracking Your Staking Rewards

1) To track your staking rewards, go back to Account Actions in the upper left corner and then click Reward/Slash. Here you'll see a history of the staking rewards paid to you.

3) Select the Validator(s) you'd like to nominate to. You can also click on the Validator to see some of their stats. You can learn how to evaluate Validators .

Note: Staking rewards are paid out by your Validator, not Polkawallet. If after a few days you have not received any staking rewards, please refer .
